The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely SRD functional office focused on service the area every day. The company place made for intervention activities a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to allow the servicing of all shoppers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
